Matinmikko published the award winning book Valohämy — taide, maisema ja maailmanloppu (Siltala & Parvs) in 2023. Sound artist Jari Koho made an electro-acustic throughout composition for the book, and together they published an experimental audiobook that is first of its kind in the Finnish streaming services. 

The performance is based on this piece of work. Matinmikko and Koho have perfomed together at Odysseus festival, Runokuu, Sähkö-klubi and Pieni Olohuonekiertue. 

Chiaroscuro is an italian term for the extreme slide of light in painting. Especially Rembrandt and Caravaggio used it. In the book, chiaroscuro is considered as lived experience and a philosophical attitude.
