Fungi Feel

17:00Performance

Fungi Feel: Cycles and Waters is a performative hypha of Maija Hirvanen and the working group’s performance Fungi Feel (premiere at Kiasma Theatre, 2025). The performance is a site-specific adaptation of one part of the stage performance and, at the same time, a completely new entity. The piece consists of elements of cycles, water, and transformation, as well as the connections between bodies, materiality, language, and space. Hirvanen has been working with the notion of fungal choreography and performance in different ways for several years. Fungi Feel: Cycles and Waters is part of this trajectory, in the form of a situation-specific choreographic-material act, soundscape, and text.
