Miia Autio
Letter 2 / Water
The second part of the four-part short film series continues the dialogue based on the correspondence between a Finnish artist Miia Autio and a Beninese diviner Koffi Robert Djossou. Through this dialogue, the artist delves into the mystery of water and the secrecy of Vodun, seeking to let go of her desire to understand everything thoroughly. In the film, the surface of the water acts as a mirror reflecting the ambiguous relationship between faith, images, and reality. At the same time, the flow of water carries these questions through shifting cultural contexts.
