The audiovisual performance builds on the materials of two forthcoming releases, an album by TAL and a collaborative album by TAL x Murrettumeri. The music centers on the recorded voice of the aulos, a double-reed instrument of the ancient Mediterranean.

Siren Hum moves between myth and frequency: the recorded and modified sound of the aulos breathes through layered electronics like ocean waves. Tracing the siren as a "world hum" that precedes dissolution, the performance sits somewhere between invocation and drone, listening at the threshold of something immense.

Tuomas A. Laitinen is an artist working with sound, glass, and installation. Recent exhibitions include the 21st Biennale of Sydney, 1st Helsinki Biennial, Kai Art Center (Tallinn), SADE LA (Los Angeles), Art Sonje Center (Seoul), and MOCA Shanghai. Laitinen composes situations that inquire into the interconnectedness of language, body, and myth within morphing ecosystems. TAL´s debut album Sapiduz (Öm sound/Svart Records 2022) is a shapeshifting body of sounds containing traces of early music, mutated vocals, and granular electronic composition techniques.

Murrettumeri is a Helsinki-based sound designer, artist and drummer working with contemporary theatre and music. Her latest release Silver Pink (2025, Below0) blurs the lines between trance, trap and various shades of experimental electronic music. She is interested in exploring the possibilities and mediums of performing, recently with TAL, Erika Sirola and Asian Dope Boys.
